A Hamburg court sentenced a supporter of Russia’s war against Ukraine to three years in prison.
The Hamburg Regional Court sentenced the 32-year-old man to three years in prison, including approving Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine and possessing weapons. This was reported by Die Welt.
The said sentence was due to the fact that the accused had already been sentenced to arrest in April by the Berlin district court for assaulting a journalist. He then received two years and four months in prison.
According to the new indictment, the 32-year-old man justified Russia’s war against Ukraine on social media and also called Ukraine a “terrorist state”.
He ran a Telegram channel whose name and logo were linked to an ultra-nationalist party. Another Russia. The man was a follower of “pro-Russian national Bolshevik ideas.”
An additional charge was possession of a weapon – a prohibited tactical folding knife. In addition, the man used the Russian military propaganda symbol “Z”, which Germany is penalized for displaying.
It will be remembered that earlier in Germany, a man was ordered to donate to the Ukrainians for wearing a Zt-shirt.
