Vorona, on his own initiative, helped the Russians to form occupational administrations in the temporarily occupied areas of Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. He was also an “advisor” to Gauleiter Yevgeny Balitsky.
In addition, Vorona prepared an appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to encourage the Russian military and partners who contributed to the conquest of the region with state awards.
SBU investigators informed him of the suspicion of collusion with the aggressor state. The court arrested the property of the attacker for tens of millions of hryvnias. Among those arrested were the defendant’s apartments in the center of Kyiv and Mirgorod, a house with a total area of more than 300 square meters. m near Kiev and 10 lands in the capital region.
The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison.
