Ukrainian citizen Andrei Petkevich was sentenced in the Russian Federation to 16 years in prison for “espionage”. This was reported on May 23 by the TASS agency with reference to the Center for Public Relations (CSP) of the FSB of Russia.
The verdict of the Tula Regional Court, according to which the Ukrainian will serve his sentence in a strict colony of the regime, entered into force.
According to the FSB, “a foreigner, on the instructions of the intelligence services of Ukraine, searched for employees of Russian defense enterprises from carriers of classified information.”
Its goals were allegedly to recruit Russians and “obtain from them legally protected information about promising developments in the field of small arms.”
It will be remembered that the 42-year-old Petkevich from Dnipro was detained in August 2021.
