“Women’s compartments” may appear in Ukrainian trains.
Ukrzaliznytsia will introduce such compartments in test mode after a petition about separate cars appeared: they say that women are in danger on night trains with unknown fellow travelers.
Women, trans women and mothers with children under six years of any gender will be allowed into such compartments, Ukrzaliznytsia reported on May 23.
This will be done on long-distance routes. Which ones are still unknown.
You won’t have to pay extra for the “women’s coupe,” Ukrzaliznytsia assured.
At the first stage, the service for buying tickets for women’s compartments can only be implemented through the UZ mobile application.
Recall that in 2010 Ukrzaliznytsia already introduced such a service, but it was not in demand.
