In the past day, Russian troops shelled the Sumy region 12 times, more than 80 explosions were recorded. This was announced on Monday, May 22, by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
It was noted that the invaders opened fire on the territories of Belopolskaya, Miropolskaya, Yunakovskaya, Novoslobodskaya and Velikopisarevskaya communities.

In the Velykopisarevskaya settlement, a local resident was injured as a result of the shooting. The victim was taken to a medical facility.
As reported, due to increased shelling, Sumy regional authorities are evacuating residents from border communities.
It will be remembered that in the past month, Russian troops have strengthened shelling in three border regions of Ukraine – Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Sumy.
