The Russian command is deploying additional reserves to the Bakhmut direction, and this may indicate the failure of the enemy’s offensive operation.

To date, the defensive operation of the Ukrainian defenders continues, the Bakhmut fortress is holding on. The enemy sends reinforcements to this area, but all the best prepared reserves of the Russian army have already been used during a full-scale invasion. Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this in a commentary to Ukrinform, the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate reports.
Now the enemy is no longer the same composition of the army, which was in February 2022. And the overturning of the reserves of the invaders near Bakhmut means that these units will not be used in other directions.
According to Yusov, the much publicized Russian winter offensive has been reduced to operations on several fronts with no results. And the Bakhmut campaign became an absolute failure for the Russians.
In the end, they faced the next task after many failures – to occupy the Ukrainian Donbass by the end of March. It didn’t work and it failed. Until May 9, occupy Bakhmut – now we see that the situation is developing differently, when representatives of the occupiers publicly say that they have to retreat, – the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar reported on Telegram that Ukrainian defenders took Bakhmut into a semi-encirclement to destroy the occupiers.
And President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference in Japan said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to perform an important task in Bakhmut. The Russian army does not control the city.
Recall that US President Joe Biden on the fields of the G7 in Japan said that the losses of the Russian Federation in the battles for Bakhmut amounted to 100 thousand soldiers, officers and mercenaries.
