The Russians launched an information wave about the alleged disappearance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. The fake was debunked on May 20 by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar.

Commander in place. Does his job. Just talked. This is a typical information technology aimed at demoralizing our army. By the time of action it is very short – from several hours to one day. Because the information is easy to verify. And the effect of it is expected in the case of the exact moment of distribution and mass character, – Malyar wrote in her social networks.
She believes that the Muscovites chose to spread the wave about the disappearance of Zaluzhny at the peak of tension in Bakhmut, when “even a few demoralized military men from our side will ease the situation for them.”
For the sake of this, the Russians began to spread premature messages about the “capture” of Bakhmut.
Earlier, the painter on the air of the telethon said that three news about the “death” of Ukrainian commanders appeared from the Russian side in recent weeks.
In her opinion, this indicates that an assassination attempt is being prepared on the military leaders.
In chronological order: Dance, Syrsky, Zaluzhny. On the one hand, it is easy to check and refute. Actually, that’s what was done. On the other hand, one must understand that Russians are prone to false starts and often employees of their information front give out information without receiving confirmation from the direct executors, – stressed Malyar.
Objectively, she said that during the war, the Russians are interested in the destruction of the Ukrainian military-political leadership. Therefore, the issue of his personal security “is now of strategic importance,” Malyar said.
