The Polish authorities, unfortunately, once again pulled out the hatchet of war on the historical front. They demand that now Volodymyr Zelensky “apologize” for Volyn-1943.

In Poland, they want the President of Ukraine to “take on more responsibility for Ukraine” and ask for forgiveness for the Volyn tragedy, writes Evropeiska Pravda.
Against the backdrop of the 80th anniversary of the massacre of Ukrainians and Poles in Volhynia during World War II, journalists asked Lukasz Yasina, speaker of the Polish Foreign Ministry, what he expects from Ukraine, whether Zelensky should ask for forgiveness and in what format.
He replied in the affirmative:
I’m sorry, please, we’re sorry. This formula works very well in the case of Polish-Ukrainian relations, and it is still lacking.
Yasina noted that recently “a lot has changed for the better.”
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Vasily Zvarych, in response, pointed out the unacceptability of demanding something from the president:
We call for respect and balance in expressions, especially in the difficult reality of Russian genocidal aggression.”
Recall that back in December 2014, the then President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called on the Poles “not to build a policy on the graves.”
We forgive and ask for forgiveness,” he said, speaking to the deputies of the Polish Parliament.
