Although the Russians did not want the corpses of their soldiers, the company did not just pick them up and throw them away.
Every day, Ukrzaliznytsia spends about 100 liters of fuel for the operation of a chilled car only, in which the bodies of the Russian military are stored. This was announced on Wednesday, May 25, by Alexander Kamyshin, head of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, in an interview with Meduza.
He stressed that at present, in various cities where active fighting has taken place, there are 270 bodies of Russian soldiers in refrigerated vehicles.
“The Russians are leaving themselves on the battlefields, and every day we burn 100 liters of diesel fuel per car to store these bodies – to maintain the required temperature in the refrigerators,” the leader said. of the UZ board.
He also added that even though the Russians did not want the corpses of their soldiers, the company did not just pick them up and throw them away.
“We treat the dead Russians better than they treat us alive,” Kamyshin insisted.
He also noted that the company was waiting for the Russian authorities or their relatives to retrieve the dead. In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia is ready to provide free tickets to Russian mothers who come to Ukraine to pick up the corpses of their sons.
“We’ll do everything for free: we’ll take, we’ll take, we’ll give back. We don’t need anyone else,” the UZ board leader said.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrzaliznytsia has provided chilled cars for the removal of the bodies of Russian soldiers.
