The explosion of a car in Reni, Odessa region, occurred on Friday, May 19. The driver was in the car when the explosion occurred. This was reported on its website by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region.
The report says that a 36-year-old local businessman started his car, after which the explosives detonated under the car.
The man was not injured – he checked the car and found something that looked like a grenade, fixed under the rear right wheel.
The citizen immediately informed law enforcement about this incident.
“Explosives experts recovered fragments of one detonated device and another, possibly an explosive device. They will be sent for analysis,” law enforcement officials said.
