“Being Secretary General of NATO is going to be an amazing job and NATO is very important to all of our security. I want to do my part to make sure you sleep well,” Wallace said.
At the same time, the minister made it clear that he is also happy with his current role as defense minister in the British government.
It was noted that if appointed, Ben Wallace would be the first general secretary of the North Atlantic Alliance to represent the UK in twenty years. In addition to him, the former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also spoke about his desire to get this post.
