Children from different countries are invited to the occupied peninsula under the guise of participating in music competitions or relaxing in a children’s camp.

Russia plans to use foreign children in occupied Crimea as human shields. This was stated by the head of the National Security and Defense Committee of the Seimas of Lithuania Laurynas Kashchyunas on Facebook.

According to him, Russia has “invited” groups of children “for entertainment or cultural and educational events” to the occupied peninsula in the near future.

“Under the guise of a music competition, groups of 12-13 year old students from Kazakhstan, Israel, Belgium, Morocco, Tajikistan, Egypt, Armenia and other countries were offered to go to Artek children’s camp in the near future. Various events are also arranged,” he said.

According to the deputy, in this way the invaders want to create the impression that the Ukrainian peninsula is supposedly part of the aggressor country, but their main goal is to bring “as many hostage children” to the occupied Crimea as possible before the counter-offensive of the defenders of Ukraine.

Kaschyunas added that governments should take steps to protect their young citizens and prevent the Russians from using them “as hostages or for military propaganda purposes.”

Remember, on the eve it was reported that a Russian Caliber rocket fell in Crimea.
