Bern Arild Gram noted that these weapons have previously given Ukraine the ability to attack Russian supply lines.
Oslo will provide Kyiv with three Arthur radars and eight long-range MLRS rocket launchers. Aid to Norway is allocated in close cooperation with the UK. This was said by the Norwegian Minister of Defense Bern Arild Gramm.
“We must continue to support Ukraine so that it can continue its struggle for freedom and independence. More weapons are needed, and these are the capacities that Ukraine desperately needs, which we cannot provide without close cooperation with the UK ,” the officer said.
The official added that the weapons had a significant impact on the war and gave Ukraine the ability to attack Russian supply lines and disable several key targets on the front lines.
According to him, Norway also decided to move three Arthur radars to Ukraine to detect enemy artillery. In the past, such radars were sent by the United Kingdom.
Arthur is a counter-battery radar system developed by the Swedish company Ericsson Microwave Systems together with the armed forces of Norway and Sweden.
As already reported, US-Norwegian NASAMS systems have been in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine for six months.
During this period, Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners destroyed more than a hundred Russian missiles and drones. In some attacks on Russia, NASAMS shows efficiency at the level of 100%.
