Volodymyr Zelenskyy will definitely participate in the G7 summit, the only question is the format, Igor Zhovkva said.
President Volodymyr Zelensky may personally attend the G7 summit in the Japanese city of Hiroshima. This was reported by the Kyodo agency in connection with the Deputy Head of the Office of the President Igor Zhovkva on Thursday, May 18.
According to him, President Zelensky “will definitely take part in the G7 summit in Hiroshima, which will open on May 19, although the format is unknown to me.”
Zhovkva added that the final decision on the possibility of visiting Japan will be made depending on the military situation.
It will be remembered that the G7 summit will be held on May 19-21 in Hiroshima. At the same time, support for Ukraine will be one of the priority issues of the summit.
Today, US President Joe Biden flew to the G7 summit, even though his trip was under threat due to negotiations with Congress to avoid a federal government default.
