The Ambassador of Ukraine to France apologizes to the President and the Ukrainian people.
On French radio station RTL, they poked fun at President Volodymyr Zelensky’s business trip to Europe, calling it a “traveling circus big top.” The Ukrainian Embassy in France has already responded to this incident.
Twitter account RTL published fragment of the video with the words of the host that the President of Ukraine on May 15 arrived at the Elysee Palace “in his big top”, signed: “Zelensky’s Circus. Coming soon! Coming!”.
Ukrainian Ambassador to France Vadym Omelchenko commented on the radio station’s broadcast, where Zelensky’s trip was compared to a “circus tour”. The diplomat said he apologized to the president and the Ukrainian people.
“What cynicism and lack of tact, uncharacteristic of the people of friendly France. No sympathy, no responsibility. I ask for an apology from my president and my people of Ukraine, suffering and fighting for their freedom, as well as for your chance to enjoy the ease of life,” Omelchenko wrote on Twitter.
Quel cynisme et manque de tact non représentatif du peuple ami🇫🇷. Without empathy, without responsibility. I demand excuses towards my President and my peuple🇺🇦qui souffre et se bat pour sa liberté mais aussi pour la vôtre et pour la possibilité de profiter de la légerété de la vie. https://t.co/V8C1RUXfLk

Recall that a few days ago Zelensky visited France, Italy and other European countries for the first time since the beginning of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
