Most of the dead and wounded were from large area ammunition and explosives, including heavy artillery and numerous rocket launchers.
The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights recorded 3,974 deaths and 4,654 injuries to Ukrainian civilians following Russia’s massive aggression.
It was noted that of those who died -1497 men, 985 women, 91 women and 99 men, as well as 69 children and 1233 adults, whose gender is still unknown. In addition, 938 men, 619 women, 108 women, 130 men, as well as 164 children and 2,695 adults, whose gender was unknown, were injured.
Most of the deaths and injuries came from large area bullets and explosives, including heavy artillery and multiple rocket attacks, as well as rockets and air strikes.
The agency noted that actual statistics of deaths and injuries to civilians were higher, as receipt of information from some areas where intense fighting was continuing was delayed. In addition, many reports are still pending confirmation. This applies, for example, to Mariupol, Izyum and Popasna, where many civilian casualties have been reported.
We will recall, earlier it was reported that in Ukraine 238 children were killed and more than 433 were injured since the beginning of an invasion. But these numbers are not final, as there is still no exact information from the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
