In Russia, they called to teach stray dogs special skills and send them to the war against Ukraine.
Such an initiative was put forward by the deputy of the State Duma of Russia from Yakutia Fedot Tumusov, according to the Russian edition of The Moscow Times.
There are a lot of cynologists in our country who can teach dogs different skills … Cynologists would teach large and aggressive dogs … let them help pull out the wounded, take part in demining. And as the experience of the Great Patriotic War testifies, they can participate in other cases, he said.
It is noted that the proposal of the deputy was made against the background of the discussion by the State Duma of amendments to the law “On the responsible treatment of animals”, which give the regions the right to euthanize stray dogs.
