A Chinese deep-sea fishing vessel has sunk in the central Indian Ocean, 39 crew members are missing. This was reported on May 17 by CGTN TV channel.
It was learned that the ship capsized on Monday, May 15.

The operation is under the control of Chinese President Xi Jinping. He instructed the authorities of Shandong province closest to the scene of the tragedy to activate rescuers. In addition, the Chinese Foreign Ministry reached out to representatives of Australia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Philippines and other countries for help in finding the sailors.
It can be recalled that in February, the Chinese dry cargo ship Yong Xing 56 sank in the Tatar Strait.
