In Ukraine, 481 children have already died as a result of a full-scale Russian invasion, and at least 977 more children have been injured to varying degrees.

This was announced today, May 17, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General, citing data from juvenile prosecutors.
These figures are not final. Work is underway to install them in places of warfare, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the department notes.
Children in the following regions suffered the most:
- Donetsk region – 459;
- Kharkiv region – 277;
- Kyiv region – 128;
- Kherson region – 100;
- Zaporozhye region – 90;
- Mykolaiv region – 89;
- Chernihiv region – 70;
- Dnepropetrovsk region – 70;
- Lugansk region – 66.
In particular, yesterday, May 16, as a result of Russian shelling of the village of Molodezhnoye in the Kherson region, three children aged seven, eight and ten were injured.
