We are talking about QINETIQ BANSHEE JET 80 kamikaze drones.
The Telegraph writes that these kamikaze drones have a range of over 125 miles. This is more than double that of Himars. They complement the Storm Shadow long-range missiles the UK handed over to Ukraine last week.
Defense sources admitted to The Telegraph that the drones are “one-sided,” adding that their “primary purpose is to carry munitions.” They were quickly developed and adapted at much less cost than others, and have an effect comparable to an artillery shell.
London announced the provision of new weapons on May 15, the day when Vladimir Zelensky came to Britain.
