Sappers neutralized 250 anti-tank mines laid under a power line between the villages of Grakovo and Mospanovo, Kharkiv region. This was reported on May 16 by the press service of Kharkovoblenergo.
As the head of the Kharkiv high-voltage district of electrical networks (RES) Alexander Ganus said, the mines are very densely located between two spans on a line that is only 300 meters long.
“This is a record number of mines for the entire period of operation of a high-voltage distribution zone, we have never seen anything like this before. The sappers deactivated them and took them out of the workplace. Then we were able to continue . working with special equipment – a crane, a tower and a pit drill,” he specified.
According to the head of RES, the work on restoring the line is in its final stage and the residents of Mospanovo can count on the return of electricity in the near future.
