On the night of May 16, the Russian army attacked Ukraine from the north, south and east directions with 18 missiles of various types, air, sea and land-based. All of them were destroyed, reported the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“On six MiG-31K aircraft, six Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, nine Caliber cruise missiles from ships in the Black Sea, and three land-based missiles (S-400, Iskander-M) were fired. All of missiles were destroyed by air defense forces and defense means,” the military said.
In addition, the enemy attacked with strike drones of the Shahed-136/131 type, and also conducted aerial reconnaissance with three operational-tactical drones (Orlan-10, SuperCum). They were all shot too.
“The tactical aviation of the Air Force continues to strike the positions of the invaders. On the day of May 15 and at the beginning of the day on May 16, more than twenty groups of air strikes were carried out,” added the command.
It will be remembered that on Tuesday the enemy made another air attack on Ukraine. Kyiv, in particular, came under intense attack from different directions at the same time.
