France is ready to start training Ukrainian pilots – Macron

The French head of state noted that training centers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be built in the east of his country.

France is now ready to begin training Ukrainian pilots in Western fighters. This is what French President Emmanuel Macron said, according to the newspaper Le Figaro on Monday, May 15.

The French leader noted that Paris has decided to build training centers for the Ukrainian military in the east of the country, which will oversee counteroffensive, defense and repair equipment.

According to him, “the door is open” for the training of Ukrainian pilots.

“Training can start now… It can be done in European countries that agree. In my opinion, there is a discussion with the Americans now,” Macron said.

As we already wrote, Zelensky and Macron held a meeting that lasted almost three hours and ended after midnight local time on Monday.
