The Ukrainian Air Force has upgraded Su-25 attack aircraft received from North Macedonia.

Recall that in 2001, Macedonia, formed on the ruins of Yugoslavia, experienced armed aggression.
The President of Macedonia turned to then-Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma for help, who immediately allocated military aviation – Mi-8, Mi-24 helicopters, Su-25 attack aircraft, and T-72A tanks.
This was the first time that independent Ukraine helped a young European country, which was later admitted to NATO as North Macedonia in 2020.
In 2022, the Macedonians returned to Ukraine the weapons received 21 years ago.
