At a meeting with Macron, he discussed the coalition of fighters and the Ukrainian formula for peace.
According to the joint declaration of the presidents, France will continue to provide political, financial, humanitarian and military support to Ukraine for as long as necessary – individually and through international cooperation within the EU, NATO, UN and other formats.
France supports the peace formula and prepares new military aid packages in Ukraine. The French government in the coming weeks will provide Ukraine with “dozens” of armored vehicles, in particular the AMX-10RC, and will provide training for the Ukrainian military.
Zelensky and Macron issued a joint declaration in Paris. The main thing in it:
- Russia must withdraw troops from Ukraine without conditions;
- The future of Ukraine and its people is in the European family;
- France supports Ukraine’s aspirations to become a member of the EU and NATO. Looks forward to the early start of negotiations on EU accession and the decision of the Alliance summit in Vilnius in July 2023;
- France condemns Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine and remains committed to Ukraine’s sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders. Paris supports the Ukrainian formula for peace;
- Both countries call on Russia to withdraw the occupying troops from the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. The irresponsible takeover and militarization of the station poses a serious threat;
- By protecting the security of the European continent, Ukraine and partners ensure an international order based on the rule of law;
- Ukraine will receive political, financial, humanitarian and military support from France for Ukraine as long as necessary;
- Ukraine and France call for new sanctions against Russia;
- Both countries support the extension of the “grain agreement”;
- The countries will continue to work together to develop mechanisms to compensate for the losses and damage caused by Russian aggression;
- France is ready to participate in the post-war restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine.
