The press service of the French president announced what issues the leaders of the two countries will consider at the meeting.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Paris on Sunday, May 14, to have a working dinner with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace. This was stated in the press service of the French leader, according to the American television channel CNN.
“This exchange of views will allow them to continue and deepen the dialogue of trust after their February 8 meeting in Paris and regular telephone exchanges since then,” they explained.
During the meeting, Macron aims to reaffirm the continued support of France and Europe to restore Ukraine’s legal rights and protect its core interests.
“Therefore, tonight’s discussion will focus on the support that France continues to provide in response to Ukraine’s urgent military and humanitarian needs. The two presidents will also discuss long-term prospects for the return of peace in Europe, in particular, based in the Peace Plan proposed by President Zelensky, which supports France,” said the Elysee Palace.
Recall, on the eve of Zelensky’s visit, Macron said that Russia “has already lost the geopolitical” war in Ukraine and now the Russian Federation is becoming a vassal of China.
