“There was a loud explosion in Melitopol. After that, the city lost electricity,” said one of the reports.
According to other reports, electricity was lost after the explosion in the lower part of the city, in the microdistrict. Many also lost mobile communications.
There is also information that there is no electricity in the surrounding villages.
At the same time, according to some users, the light disappeared before the explosion.
Melitopol mayor Ivan Fedorov later confirmed that a loud explosion was heard in the city.
“It is so strong that in the eastern and northern regions of the city and even in the surrounding villages there is no electricity, water and communication,” explained Fedorov.
It was publicly noted that labor authorities had announced an emergency shutdown at the substation, silent on the explosion itself.
Also on Friday, an official of the occupation authorities was blown up in Melitopol.
