The Armed Forces of Ukraine see signs of exhaustion of the Russian aggressors in the direction of Bakhmut. Colonel Sergei Cherevaty, spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on the air of the telethon, reports Arm_yaInform on Friday, May 12.
“In the last 24 hours alone, 40 battles took place here, as a result of which 190 infidels died, 244 were wounded and another 15 were captured. Three tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, three howitzers were also destroyed. Mr. B and 5 ammunition storage. the fact that our defensive operation continues successfully, the enemy is tired and bloody. Wagner did not fulfill a deadline, Bakhmut was not taken,” said the colonel.
According to him, it did not help the Russians that the PMC units were once exhausted Wagner were replaced by units of the regular troops of the Russian Federation – motorized rifle and airborne units. This is due to the fact that these new units are mostly mobilized personnel, with very low motivation.

It will be remembered that yesterday the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to repel the invaders in Bakhmut.
Today, Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced 2 km in the direction of Bakhmut and have not lost a single position in a week.
In turn, the Russians recognized a slight retreat near Bakhmut.
