The Ukrainian side has already received these planes. The Permanent Mission of Poland to the European Union announced this on Twitter.
Of the 28 aircraft transferred to Kyiv, Poland sent 14 MiG-29 fighters.
The Polish side also added that the Ukrainian Defense Forces received 325 out of 575 tanks transferred by the West from Poland. That’s more tanks than any other ally has donated.
As you know, the MiG-29 is a fourth-generation multipurpose Soviet fighter. This aircraft in the 80s of the last century was the main multi-role fighter of the Warsaw Pact countries and the USSR. Now such MiGs are in service with many countries of the world, including in the fleet of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recall that in April Bratislava announced that Slovakia had handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine all 13 promised fourth-generation MiG-29 multipurpose fighters.
