In an evening address to the countrymen on Thursday, May 11, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the fighters who especially distinguished themselves this week.
He mentioned in particular: OSUV Khortytsya – the 3rd and 5th separate assault brigades and the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign;
OSUV Tavria – soldiers of the 44th separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Daniil Apostol, the 55th separate artillery brigade Zaporizhzhya Sich, the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Gandzyuk and the 79th separate brigade;
OSOV Odessa – to the soldiers of the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade named General Cornet Aleksey Almazov;
artillery crew of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade; units of the National Guard, especially the soldiers of the 1st and 14th operational brigades of the National Guard, who, together with all the defense and security forces of Ukraine, protect our state in the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk.
Earlier, the president said that the international bloc is actively working with partners for new defense packages for Ukraine.
