The invaders were taking the property of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, but such actions were not explained in any way and no one was warned about the “raid”.
Russian occupiers looted and destroyed the Cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) in temporarily occupied Simferopol. The invaders broke the temple doors, described and stole the property of the Ukrainian church. Andrey Shchekun, a journalist and cultural activist in Crimea, said this on his Facebook.
He noted that representatives of the so-called “state property fund of the Republic of Crimea of the Russian Federation” along with “official bailiffs of the Republic of Crimea of the Russian Federation” are participating in illegal actions.
One of the leaders of this “raid” Evgeny Nikolaevich Novikov was “a Moscow bailiff who was in charge of the seizure of the OCU temple in Crimea.”
The Russians do not explain their actions to anyone. In addition, no one warned the representatives of the religious community and the clergy about the “raid”.

Recall that the journalists created an interactive map of the temporarily occupied Crimea with 223 Russian military installations with geolocations.
