Peskov said the “special operation” was “very complicated” because the Russian Federation was allegedly trying to preserve infrastructure and human life.
The Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, said that “Russia is not conducting a real war”, trying to protect infrastructure and people’s lives. He said this in an interview with the Bosnian television channel ATV.
“Waging war is a completely different thing, it’s the complete destruction of infrastructure, it’s the complete destruction of cities. We’re not doing this. We’re trying to maintain the infrastructure and we’re trying to save human life,” said Peskov.
He also added that the “special operation” was “very difficult”, but some goals were achieved throughout the year.
According to him, “Russia managed to destroy the Ukrainian military machine,” because the goal of “SVO” is “demilitarization.”
“Russia’s reunification of the Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions is a very important result of the first year of the special military operation,” Peskov said.
In addition, he said that “it is difficult to imagine that anyone would think about applying the warrant of the International Criminal Court against Putin.”
It will be remembered that in the summer of last year, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, said that the Russian Federation allegedly has not seriously started a war against Ukraine.
