Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the “grain initiative” to export Ukrainian grain by the Black Sea could be extended for at least two months. His words on Wednesday, May 10, were quoted by CNN Türk.
“In fact, the extension (“grain agreement” – ed.) was made for two months. I think we can get results by extending at least another two months. I think we can implement it,” Cavusoglu said.
As reported, on May 10, a meeting began in Istanbul between Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN to continue the “grain initiative”, with the Russian Federation threatening to withdraw after May 18.

The head of the department, Anthony Blinken, called on Moscow to stop using hunger as a weapon in the war against Ukraine.
