On May 9, the port of Izmail fulfilled the annual plan for cargo handling in the amount of 6 million 187 thousand tons. This is a record rate for the entire history of the port’s implementation of annual characteristics. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration.
It was noted that the largest volume of cargo handling was shown by state-owned business operators Izmail Commercial Sea Port (2 million 656.4 thousand tons), PrJSC Dunaisudoremont (1 million 289.5 thousand tons), PrJSC IRP Dunaisudnoservis (805.0 thousand tons ).

According to the USPA, the capacity of the port for the export of agricultural products has increased due to the commissioning of berths for cargo operations with grain and vegetable oil by new terminal operators: Dunaisudnoservis, Dunaisuoremont , ICCC and through the construction of a new terminal by JV Nibulon LLC.
According to the head of the Administration, Yuriy Lytvyn, the increase in the throughput of the seaport of Izmail, which now processes a significant part of Ukrainian exports, was facilitated by the restoration of navigation at the mouth of the Bystry, the increase in the water area . of Izmail MP and dredging in the port water area.
“The Danube cluster is a major alternative route for export-import logistics, which is a priority for further development for the SE USPA,” he said.
