Beletsky confirmed the advance near Bakhmut

Ukrainian fighters conducted offensive operations near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and defeated units of the 72nd separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Federation, liberating part of the territory of Ukraine. “The brigade reconnaissance was defeated, a significant number of armored combat vehicles were destroyed, a large number of prisoners were captured. Offensive operations were conducted in a strip 3 km wide and 2 km 600 meters deep. The entire territory was completely freed from the forces of Russian occupation,” said Beletsky.

He also added that PMC Wagner’s 3rd assault detachment suffered heavy losses.

The press service of the 3rd Specialized Brigade also confirmed that the battle took place near Bakhmut, Donetsk region. 500 Russians were killed.

“During two days of attack operations in the southwest outskirts of the city, the attack aircraft of the 3rd OShBr as part of the Azov tactical group eliminated 64 invaders, another 87 – half of those mentioned earlier. Among all of them there are Wagnerites,” the military said.

Several ammunition depots, mortars and armored vehicles of the enemy were liquidated.
