As a result of a collision between a regular bus and a truck on May 9 in eastern Germany, at least 52 people were injured. This was reported by the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel, citing the Polish police.
The accident occurred near the village of Strokov on the highway A12, towards the Polish-German border.
It was noted that all the victims were Polish citizens. Three rescue helicopters took the injured to nearby hospitals. The condition of 10 people was assessed as serious, one – as critical.
According to a representative of the police department in the city of Gorzow Wielkopolski, we are talking about employees of a German company.
About 95 emergency workers were at the scene of the accident.
According to the Consul of Poland in Germany, Marcin Krol, the bus had Polish license plates.
Recall that in the Turkish city of Hatay, a truck that lost control of the driver flew into a crowd of military people who saw off. At least 12 people died.
It was also reported that a train crashed into a car in Poland: there was a child among the dead.
