Activists deployed an installation about Russian crimes at the monument to Soviet soldiers in Warsaw.
On May 9, Ukrainian and Polish activists opened a large art installation in Warsaw near the monument to Soviet soldiers, where the Russian delegation, led by the Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev, should put flowers. This was announced by the public initiative Euromaidan-Warsaw on its Facebook page.
The installation shows Ukrainian cities and human lives destroyed by Russia.
Hundreds of Ukrainian flags, many of them covered in red paint, small wooden crosses with the names of dead Ukrainians and Poles, models of residential buildings with inscriptions on them – Bucha , Mariupol, Bakhmut, Kherson, Irpen were installed on the monument to Soviet soldiers.
“The ambassador of a terrorist country, in order to lay flowers on the monument, has to walk the symbolic streets of the destroyed Mariupol, pass the bombed houses of Bucha, Irpen, Kherson, and see the price paid by Ukrainians . the barbarism of the country he represents. The terrorist ambassador had to go to a monument to the coffins and blood of Ukrainians killed by Russia. We left him no other way,” the message said.
Later it became known that the Russian Ambassador to Poland, Sergei Andreev, failed to lay a wreath at the monument of Soviet soldiers in Warsaw.
“As a result, the wreath is under our installation, honoring the memory of the victims of the Russian aggression,” Euromaidan-Warsaw leader Natalya Panchenko said on Facebook.
As you know, last year on May 9, while trying to lay flowers on the monument, Russian Ambassador Andreev was doused with red paint by activists.
Recall that on the morning of May 9, activists woke Russian diplomats in Warsaw to the sounds of sirens and bombings.
