The Eurovision Song Contest starts on Tuesday 9 May. At 22:00 in Liverpool, the first semi-final will take place, where 15 participants will compete for the right to represent their country in the final of the competition.

Recall that the representative from Ukraine, which won last year, the TVORCHI group immediately gets to the final of the show on May 13 with the song Heart of Steel.
Both semi-finals and the final of the show will be shown by Public Broadcasting. This will happen on multiple platforms.
The live broadcast of the first semi-final of Eurovision-2023 will start at 22:00.

What will be broadcast
The first semi-final of Eurovision-2023 will be opened by the host of the show from Ukraine – the frontwoman of The Hardkiss group Yulia Sanina with a fragment of the song “Mayak”. The performance symbolizes the unification of the music of the two countries. The purpose of the opening is to highlight the hosting of the 67th Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine, last year’s winner country.
The representative of Ukraine at Eurovision-2010 Alyosha will tell the story of her real personal journey from the stage through the performance of the song Ordinary World by the cult British pop-rock band Duran Duran, in a new arrangement.
With their performance, Alyosha, together with Liverpool singer Rebecca Ferguson, will tell a story of hope, courage and support for the people of Ukraine from all over the world. The performance is called “Welcome to our home.”
How to vote
Ukrainians will vote in the second semi-final and in the final. During the first semi-final Ukrainians do not vote.
In the second semi-final, information will appear live on air when it will be possible to send an SMS message to 7576 with the number of the participant you want to vote for.
Recall that the 67th Eurovision Song Contest is held in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine, which won in Turin last year. The representative of Ukraine, the TVORCHI group, immediately gets to the final of the show on May 13, where they will perform the song Heart of Steel (“Steel Heart”) at number 19.
