To do this, military recruiters are targeting Central Asian migrant workers in Russia for the war against Ukraine. Recruiters visited mosques and immigration offices for recruitment. Tajik- and Uzbek-speaking immigration officers regularly try to recruit migrants. This was announced on May 8 by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.
According to Radio Free Europe, recruiters offered recruitment bonuses of $2,390. and promised potential occupants a salary of up to 4,160 dollars. for a month. In addition, migrants who agreed to go to war were offered accelerated acquisition of Russian citizenship from six months to one year instead of the usual five years.
British intelligence claims that high monthly wages and recruitment bonuses encourage some migrant workers to sign up as recruits. In London, they believe that these “fighters” are most likely sent to the front line, where the level of casualties is extremely high.
By recruiting migrants, the Russian Ministry of Defense is trying to achieve its goal of attracting 400,000 volunteers for the war. Thus, Moscow will be able to delay any new open mandatory mobilization for a long time.
Recall that the Center for National Resistance stated that the Russians can use the evacuation of residents of the occupied territories of Ukraine to mobilize men of military age.
