Social networks say that the suspect recently received Russian citizenship, but comes from the Kharkiv region.
Russian security forces detained a native of Ukraine in Nizhny Novgorod on suspicion of an attempt on the life of writer and pro-government propagandist Zakhar Prilepin. It was announced on Saturday, May 6, by the Russian Telegram channel Mash Baza, citing its sources.
The social network says that we are talking about a 30-year-old man who rented an apartment on the outskirts of Nizhny Novgorod a day before the assassination attempt on the propagandist. Russian security forces suspect him because he is from the Kharkiv region.
The report also says that the detainee has been convicted in the past, but it is not known where exactly – in Ukraine or in Russia. Currently, no direct connection between the detainee and the explosion of Prilepin’s car has been established.
“It is known that the man is from Ukraine and recently received Russian citizenship. A 30-year-old resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region was seen by locals from the village of Pionerskoye for two days, he just walked in forest,” Telegram channel 112 added.
The Ukrainian was “tied to a forest belt,” according to Mash, but social networks did not specify whether this happened near the site of the explosion and whether he was exactly the same person seen two days ago by residents of nearby villages . .
Other suspects are being sought in the Moscow region, Telegram channels added.
It will be remembered that in Nizhny Novgorod, unknown persons blew up the car of a well-known Ukrainophobe writer and former “political officer of the DPR” Zakhar Prilepin.
We also add that on April 2, propagandist Vladlen Tatarsky was blown up in one of the cafes in St.
