Over the past day, Russian aggressors have conducted offensive operations in three directions in the Donbas. In total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled about 50 enemy attacks and inflicted many blows on them, the General Staff reported in the morning report on Saturday, May 6.
“The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the direction of Bakhmut, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky – about 50 attacks of invaders were repelled. Bakhmut and Maryinka remain in the center of the battle, the our defenders are holding the line,” the report said.
It was noted that the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the direction of Bakhmut. The battle continues in the city of Bakhmut. Unsuccessful, the enemy attacked in the direction of Grigorievka, Ivanovsky and New York.
In the direction of Avdiivka, the enemy carried out offensive actions near Avdiivka, but without success.
In the Maryinsky direction, in the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks near Maryinka.
Yesterday, the enemy launched eight missiles and 49 air strikes and fired 82 shells from the MLRS. Civilians were injured, private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
In turn, the flight of the Defense Forces in one day delivered 10 strikes on areas of concentration of enemy military personnel and equipment. Also, 10 Russian drones were shot down – five Shahed-136/131 types, two Zala types, one Orlan-10, one Kub and one Lancet type.
During the day, missile and artillery units hit five areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, three compositions of ammunition and fuel and lubricants, an air defense system and five more important enemy targets.
Recall that Russia has lost more than 193 thousand soldiers since the beginning of the war against Ukraine. On May 4 alone, at least 620 Russians were “minused”.
