The coronation of King Charles III and his wife Camilla takes place in London, the capital of Great Britain, on Saturday, April 6.

The celebration started in the morning. The ceremony route will run from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey. Already at 08:00 (Kyiv time), viewing platforms were opened for spectators in Hyde Park, Green Park and St. James Park, along the shopping center and Whitehall.

It is expected that at 12:20 a procession with a royal carriage, escorted by the military, will leave for Westminster Abbey. In 40 minutes, the service in the abbey should begin, where the monarch, according to tradition, will be introduced to the people, take an oath, go through the stages of anointing and descend from the throne.

At around 4:30 pm, the ceremony will conclude with a salute from the balcony of Buckingham Palace and a flight of military aircraft.
