The Ukrainian defenders were forced to shoot down the strike UAV because they lost control over it during a planned flight. Since the uncontrolled stay of the UAV in the sky of the capital could lead to undesirable consequences, it was decided to use the calculations of mobile fire teams. The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Target destroyed! It’s a pity, but this is a technique, and such cases happen. Probably, we are talking about a technical malfunction, the reasons are being established, – the military noted.
The command noted that as a result of combat work and the fall of the wreckage of the UAV, there were no victims or injured.
Recall, on May 4, an air raid was announced in Kyiv and the region in the evening, during which the air defense forces shot down a drone. The fall of debris led to a fire in the Solomensky district of the capital.
