This was reported today, May 4, in the Military Media Center Telegram channel.
It is noted that the relevant changes are dictated by the fact that under the legal regime of martial law, for a number of reasons, there is no need for citizens to stay on the military register of conscripts under 27 years of age:
- the need for their annual arrival at the territorial recruitment and social support centers, in particular for medical examinations, leads to additional financial costs, a burden on medical workers and an increase in queues for medical examinations. At the same time, conscription for urgent military service during martial law is not carried out;
- a long stay on the military register of conscripts during martial law leads to the fact that a significant number of citizens fit for military service who do not have the status of conscripts cannot be involved in military service by conscription during mobilization.
Given the significant attention of society to issues related to the military registration of citizens and mobilization, it should be noted that all initiatives of the Defense Forces of Ukraine aimed at strengthening the defense capability of the state are justified, coordinated with other government and security structures and are aimed solely at optimizing processes for the sake of approaching our Victory ! — noted in the message.
