Ukraine did not warn Washington about plans to attack the Kremlin with drones, so the US cannot yet confirm what really happened in Moscow last night. This was announced on May 3 by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, reports CNN.
We just don’t know. We will see what the facts are. And it is very difficult to comment or speculate on this without really knowing the facts,” he stressed.
Blinken also noted that he is inclined to treat the statements of the Russian authorities with doubt.
Another unnamed U.S. official also said the White House was not warned of a possible drone attack on the Kremlin.
Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky denied Ukraine’s involvement in the “attack” of drones on the Kremlin and stressed that he would leave the attacks on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to the international tribunal. And the Armed Forces of Ukraine use their weapons only to protect against the invaders, and not to strike at Moscow.
