This was announced by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Mykola Oleshchuk on his Telegram page.
The German-made IRIS-T air defense system has been protecting the Ukrainian sky from Russian terrorism since October 2022. Since that time, the IRIS-T air defense division has already destroyed more than 60 enemy air targets, the report says.
Oleshchuk noted that at the end of April, the second division of IRIS-T took up combat duty in Ukraine.
On the day of the first use of the complex, everyone was amazed, because all the targets were shot down, – said the deputy commander of the anti-aircraft missile unit under the pseudonym “Jeweller”.
