Ukraine is becoming one of the world’s largest operators of this type of equipment. The ACS from Denmark is different from those received from France.
In Ukraine, the CAESAR self-propelled gun transferred by Denmark has been on combat duty. The Danish Military video was published by military journalist Andrei Tsaplienko.
He noted that Ukraine is becoming one of the world’s largest operators of this type of equipment, and also said how the self-propelled guns from Denmark differ from those received from France.
In fact, despite the fact that their artillery units are the same as the self-propelled guns that France gave us, this is a completely different gun mount. First, these CAESARs were built on the 8×8 Tatra 815-7 chassis, and not on the 6×6 Renault Sherpa 5. Second, the amount of ammunition carried by the self-propelled gun increased from 18 to 30. Third, the system it has a manipulator that makes the loading of shells an almost automatic process that eases the load from the gunners’ calculation,” Tsaplienko wrote in the video commentary.
It will be remembered that at the end of April, the Caesar self-propelled gun from Denmark arrived in Ukraine.
