The Verkhovna Rada, during a plenary session on May 2, recognized the current political regime in Russia as “rashism”, and the ideological foundations and social practices of the Russian regime as totalitarian and misanthropic.
The resolution “On the use of the ideology of rashism by the political regime of Russia” was supported by 281 people’s deputies.
According to the authors of the document, this will allow forming a unified approach of international institutions to Russian policy, which became the basis for the invasion of Ukraine. The Parliament also appealed to the United Nations, the European Parliament, PACE, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, governments and parliaments of foreign states with a call to support the condemnation of the ideology, policy and practice of rashism. This will help hold the Russian leadership accountable.
Recall that racism has all 14 typical characteristics of “eternal fascism” in accordance with the classic work of Umberto Eco.
