The brigades will undergo appropriate training (2-3 weeks), and in parallel, the formation of additional units will begin.
Ukraine’s Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said that the eight brigades of the Offensive Guard are fully formed and will be under the command of the Defense Forces after receiving a combat mission. He said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Klymenko, there are plans to form additional brigades.
“There’s a need for it, and we have the opportunities,” he said.
The minister said that already formed brigades are being rearmed.
“They will undergo appropriate training – it will be 2-3 weeks – and in parallel we will start building additional units,” Klymenko specified.
The task of each of these brigades is to carry out appropriate offensive attack actions with the defense forces during military operations.
“The success of the operation in one direction or another depends on each brigade, each unit, each soldier and police,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized.
It will be remembered that NSU talked about the preparation of the offensive Guards.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that lists of offensive Guard fighters would be classified.
