The governor of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bogomaz, said that in the Unets region, due to the operation of an explosive device, a railway freight train was derailed. He wrote about it on Telegram on May 1.
“In the Unets region, on the 136th km of the Bryansk-Unecha railway, an unknown explosive detonated, as a result of which a locomotive of a freight train derailed. There were no casualties,” said the head of the region .
Operational services are working at the scene, Bogomaz added.
According to the authorities, the derailed train was carrying fuel and construction materials.
Russian Railways reported that the intervention of unauthorized persons in the work of railway transport led to the convergence of the locomotive and seven cargoes in the Bryansk region. Traffic on the site has stopped, delays of passenger trains are possible.
Earlier, the authorities of the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation announced the explosion of a power line pylon in the Gatchina region.
